TeamBest Global: Celebrating Milestones and Advancing Healthcare Worldwide
Washington, DC, USA – (BUSINESSWIRE) – October 28, 2026
TeamBest Global (TBG) continues to advance healthcare through innovation, engineering excellence, and comprehensive medical technology solutions. From celebrating five decades of achievement to advancing cyclotron technology and precision cancer treatment, TBG companies are making a global impact on healthcare by improving patient outcomes and reducing costs.
Best Medical International Celebrates 50 Years
October 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of Best Medical International (BMI). Founded by BMI President Dr. Krishnan Suthanthiran, the company grew from a personal mission. After losing his father to colon cancer in 1968, Suthanthiran dedicated his career to advancing cancer care and developing technologies to improve patients’ lives. His vision of delivering innovative solutions for cancer and other diseases remains central to BMI.
BMI's portfolio supports cancer diagnosis, treatment, radiation oncology, brachytherapy, and quality assurance. Products include Iodine-125 and Palladium-103 seeds, needles, templates, applicators, catheters, and fiducial markers.
Over five decades, TBG has acquired and developed companies and technologies spanning brachytherapy, vascular brachytherapy, external beam radiation therapy, particle therapy, and theranostics.
TBG pioneered vascular brachytherapy to treat in-stent coronary restenosis, beginning with animal studies 35 years ago and contributing to U.S. FDA approval for clinical use in 2000. TBG and affiliated Best Vascular continue advancing this technology and expanding its applications to other forms of vascular stenosis.
In recognition of his contributions to cardiovascular research and vascular brachytherapy, Dr. Suthanthiran received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Dr. Ron Waksman, Chair of Cardiovascular Research Technologies (CRT), at the 2005 CRT Annual Meeting.
Best Cyclotron Systems: B-70 Milestone for Taiwan
Best Cyclotron Systems (BCS) advances theranostics and particle therapy with cyclotrons ranging from 7.5 MeV to 230 MeV, variable-energy proton therapy systems, and medical synchrotrons up to 400 MeV for heavy-ion therapy. In July 2026, BCS completed Factory Acceptance Testing for its B-70, a 70-MeV high-current proton cyclotron. Designed and manufactured by TeamBest engineers and scientists in Canada, the system is scheduled for delivery to the National Atomic Research Institute (NARI) in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. Installation and project completion are expected in 2027.
Best NOMOS Cyber Sonalis: Advancing Ultrasound Imaging
Best NOMOS continues to advance precision cancer care through innovative imaging, treatment planning, and brachytherapy technologies. Its Cyber Sonalis® Ultrasound Imaging System supports high-dose-rate (HDR) and low-dose-rate (LDR) prostate brachytherapy, along with transrectal ultrasound-guided prostate procedures such as fiducial marker placement and prostate-rectal tissue spacer injections. Featuring patented SimulView™ technology for simultaneous prostate imaging in sagittal and transverse planes, the system combines high-definition imaging, a 21.5-inch multitouch display, and more than 20 probe configurations to support clinical precision and procedural efficiency.
Complementing its imaging technologies, Best NOMOS offers the CORVUS® Radiation Therapy Treatment Planning System, an advanced inverse-planning solution for intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT). CORVUS helps optimize radiation dose distributions to target cancerous tissues while minimizing exposure to surrounding healthy structures. The Best TPS™ Brachytherapy Treatment Planning System provides advanced planning capabilities for prostate brachytherapy, combining medical imaging, three-dimensional anatomical reconstruction, dose calculations, and treatment plan evaluation to support precise radiation treatment delivery.
Best NOMOS also offers the RTP-6000 Precision Stabilizer and complementary stepper systems, providing stable ultrasound probe positioning and controlled movement during prostate brachytherapy and other ultrasound-guided prostate procedures. Its disposable brachytherapy grid systems support precise needle placement for radioactive seed implantation and other prostate-directed interventions. Together, these technologies reflect Best NOMOS's commitment to delivering integrated, innovative solutions that enhance precision, efficiency, and confidence in prostate cancer treatment.
